Crafted by perfumer Thomas Fontaine, this leathery scent is bold and mysterious, enveloping the wearer in an aura of intrigue and sophistication. Top notes include bergamot, lemon verbena and nutmeg. Middle notes are comprised of lily, saffron, lavender, pimento and pepper. For a musky finish, base notes of amber, agar wood, leather, musk, patchouli and sandalwood combine for a smooth and sensual ending.
Molinard is one of France’s oldest perfume houses. The esteemed fragrance company was founded in 1849 in Grasse, a region that is known as the worldwide epicenter of perfume. Bolstered by wealthy clients, most notably Queen Victoria, the company came to be known, and continues to be known, as one of the finest French perfumeries. Aesthetic has long been important to Molinard. During the 20th century, it commissioned glass bottles from famous glass artists, such as Viard, Lalique and Baccarat. This aesthetic continues today through its many perfumes, soaps, candles and other aromatherapy products.
